With the summer coming to a sad end, I thought I would share the wonderful memories that I have created. In July, I decided to take a short hiatus from my full-time job, I grabbed my best friend, and took a spontaneous weekend trip to Sin City. That’s right Las Vegas!

Looking back through my childhood memories, my family took many trips to Nevada but I was always too young to participate in anything. Oh, the shame! Now at the age of 22, I was finally ready to experience living life on the edge. Although, I was worried about possibly draining my bank account at the slot machine or the poker table, I was prepared to take the risk. Two girls in Sin City, what was the worst that could happen? ✈️

5 Awesome Things You’d Never Imagine Doing in Las Vegas
- The High Roller: Fun fact – Did you know that this is the tallest ferris wheel in the world?! What’s even better is that they have an open bar on board (thank God). This 30-minute ride is the absolute key to the best view in the city. The High Roller provides a view of every hotel and attraction that Las Vegas has to offer. Although eternally slow, it comes with reason. This may have been the most exhilarating attraction there was. It is definitely worth a visit the next time you travel to Las Vegas.
- Buddy V’s Ristorante: We all know the beyond amazing Cake Boss star, Buddy Valastro. I mean who hasn’t wished he’d bake their sweet 16 birthday cake? Am I right? The first thing we think of when we hear Buddy Valastro is Hoboken, New Jersey and Carlo’s Bakery. BUT, apparently, that’s not it! Not only is there a Carlo’s Bakery inside The Venetian Hotel, but there is also some of the most exquisite Italian food I have ever tasted, Buddy V’s Ristorante. Buddy V’s possessed a wonderful family culture not only in its setting, but on its menu. Many of the items on the menu are named after his family members that we love so much from Cake Boss. It’s a wonderful twist to the traditional Italian family dinner. If you are ever looking for a traditional (non-traditional!) restaurant, go to Buddy V’s. You won’t regret it!
- Gondola: While we’re on the topic of The Venetian, this has so much more to offer. Some of the excitement that Las Vegas provides is that most hotels embrace a certain theme. While we’re not in Italy, The Venetian sure felt like it! This particular spot has a gondola attraction that rows you through The Canal Shoppes. You are taken inside and out of the hotel grounds with the gondolier as your tour guide. This attraction offers a beautiful view of Las Vegas on the water.
- Encore Beach Club: If you came to Vegas to wear your sexiest bathing suit and to listen to the world’s greatest DJs, then this beach club is the spot to be. Encore Beach Club located in the none other than Encore and Wynn Hotel is an XL pool party that goes day and night. With an extravagant bar selection, multiple swimming pools, dance floors to shake your booties on, and an extreme DJ set up, you will have a vacation you will never forget.
- Cirque Du Soleil: Cirque Du Soleil is a wonder to say the least. It is a French-Canadian entertainment company that produces the most spectacular shows in the world. The level of artistry, dedication, and talent that is integrated into every show is beyond amazing. Each show embraces fascinating makeup, costumes, set design, acrobatics, and a plot that will sweep you off your feet. Although, Cirque Du Soleil travels around the world, Las Vegas is the top spot to see every Cirque Du Soleil show imaginable in one place. This is no typical circus; it is a master piece and you will never see anything like it. I guarantee it.
Traveling to Las Vegas with my best friend this summer was an experience I will never forget. But, hey that’s not all! I can’t wait to share more of my travels with you. Stay tuned for my next travel diary! Where to next? 🌎
Xoxo, Klauds 😊
